What we receive, and what we do with it

You entrust us with working meetings. Some are routine; others are anything but. This page states exactly what comes to us, where it goes, how long it stays, and what we refuse to do. No empty phrases: every sentence below corresponds to a line of our code.

In short

Your meeting audio is erased as soon as the transcript is obtained. It is never public, never reachable through a guessable address.
We receive no copy of your minutes. They go to you, and to you alone.
We sell nothing, share nothing, and show no advertising. Our revenue comes from what you pay, not from what you say.
No trackers, no advertising cookies, no audience measurement. A single cookie: the one that keeps you signed in.

Your meeting audio

Your browser records two tracks: the sound of the meeting and your microphone. They are uploaded directly to our storage space, with private access. No public address is created, and the file name cannot be guessed.

To transcribe, the recording is processed by an automated system, securely and discreetly. No one listens to it: no member of our team has access to it. The file is read only by the processing itself, for the duration of the transcription.

As soon as the transcript is obtained and safely stored, the audio is deleted. An automatic sweep runs every night at three o'clock and deletes any recording that has survived more than twelve hours — the case of an interrupted job, for example. That is a safeguard, not the rule: in normal operation, the audio lives only as long as the transcription.

The Windows and Android apps follow exactly the same rules. The Android app captures only the phone's microphone — never the screen nor the sound of other apps — and its notification stays visible for as long as it records, even with the screen off. The Windows app records only when you start a recording, and stops when you stop it — never in the background. During a recording, it captures the microphone and, depending on the mode you choose, the sound played by the computer (your Teams or Zoom meeting, or a meeting you play back) — close your other sound-producing applications to capture only the session. The audio stays on your machine during the meeting, then it travels encrypted to our servers when uploaded, and then follows the same path as the online version: deletion after transcription, transcript kept for seven days, minutes delivered by email. The app reads no file on your computer and keeps nothing after the upload.

The transcript and the minutes

The text of your meeting is used to draft the document, then to format it. The minutes are sent to you by email, at the address you provided.

We keep the transcript for seven days, for one reason only: if delivery fails or drafting is interrupted, we can rebuild the document without asking you to record your meeting again, and without charging you a second time. After that, it is deleted automatically. We do not read it, unless you yourself bring us a problem with a specific meeting — and in that case, that one only.

The finished document itself is not kept: it is produced, sent, and no longer exists on our side.

Your account

You can sign in with Google or with a temporary code received by email. We create and hold no passwords. In the first case, Google sends us only your address, your name and a technical identifier. In the second, receiving the code proves that you control the address. We have access neither to your messages, nor to your documents, nor to your calendar.

Attached to your account, and nothing else:

your address and your name, to recognize you and write to you;
your meeting report balance and your purchases, to know what you are owed;
the date and duration of your meetings, for the tally — never their content;
if you opened your account after clicking one of our ads, the name of that ad and where it was shown to you, to know how many sign-ups it brings us;
if you belong to a company subscription, the company's name.

A company subscription administrator sees who uses the service and how many meeting reports have been consumed. They see no minutes, no meeting title and no content — no more than we do.

One person, one account. The free trial and promotional offers are attached to the person, not to the address. Opening a second account under another address or another identity is therefore not permitted. To check this, we compare the name and address of a new account with those of existing accounts; if they match, sign-in is refused and you are asked to use your existing account. A second account discovered later may be suspended, and any benefits it obtained withdrawn. If you believe a refusal is a mistake, write to us from the Support page.

Payment

Depending on the payment method used, we keep the amount, the date, the plan purchased and the transaction reference. When payment is made by bank transfer, you send us a proof of payment: it is used to credit your account, then it is kept for five years with the accounting records, and used for nothing else.

We hold no bank card numbers. Accounting records — amount, date, buyer's identity — are kept for as long as the law requires.

How long

After the meeting ends and the recording has fully uploaded, the minutes arrive usually within 15 to 45 minutes. For a long session or when the service is in heavy demand, allow up to 90 minutes. This timeframe is indicative: a slow connection can lengthen the initial upload.

What we do not do

We do not copy ourselves on our clients' minutes.
We do not sell, rent or trade any data, to anyone.
We do not use your meetings to improve our tools or train a model.
We show no advertising and do no profiling.
We do not track your browsing and do not measure your audience.

Your rights

You can at any time ask to see what we hold about you, have it corrected, have it erased, or obtain a copy of it. You can also withdraw your consent and close your account.

One address for all of this: support@lerapporteur.com. We reply within eight business days. No justification will be asked of you, and exercising these rights is free of charge.

Closing your account erases your data, except for the accounting records the law requires us to keep.

Cookies

A single cookie is set, when you sign in: it remembers that it is really you, and nothing else. It is technical, essential to the operation of the service, and disappears when you sign out. No advertising cookie, no third-party tracker, no audience measurement tool is present on this site.

If you arrive through one of our ads, your browser keeps its name for thirty days at most, on your device only. It reaches us only if you open an account, and is shared with no one else.

Security

Exchanges with the site are encrypted end to end. Audio files are stored with private access, with no public address whatsoever. No access key to our systems appears in the pages you visit.

No system is infallible. If a breach of your data were to occur, we would inform you directly, telling you what happened and what we are doing about it.

Changes

This page may evolve with the service. Any change that would reduce your rights or extend a retention period will be announced to you by email before it takes effect. The date at the top of the page indicates the latest version.
