Installed on your computer
The Windows app
Free to download, for everyone. It records on your computer, then uploads to our servers: the minutes arrive by email, just as online. Starting a meeting requires a subscription (Basic included) or a purchased pack — and your first three meeting reports are free.
When you open it, Windows may show “Unknown publisher”: that is true of every small publisher, and says nothing about the software. Click Run — or More info, then Run anyway. See the window
What it gives you
The room, through the microphone
In-person meetings: put the computer in the middle of the table; the microphone is enough.
Replay
Already have the recording of a past meeting? Replay it: it is written up like a live session.
Offline
Once it has been opened online a first time, it records without a network. Meetings are kept on the computer and leave on their own when the connection returns.
For which meetings
- In-person meetings, in a room: the computer in the middle, and nothing else.
- Meetings held in the Teams or Zoom app, rather than in the browser.
- Field work, travel, connections that drop.
- An existing audio recording to turn into minutes.
Good to know
- Windows 10 or 11.
- The same account as on the site: your minutes, your template, and your balance are shared.
Download and install
Install
- Click Download: the Rapporteur-Setup.exe installer downloads.
- Open it and let the installation run.
- The app opens: sign in with your Rapporteur account.
- Choose where your meeting takes place — In the room, Online, or Replay — and record.
